Various heavy topics will be discussed in whatever detail I deem is necessary to truly help understand VJ's (and at times, even Yoh's) character.
These topics include but are not limited to: various degrees of self-harm, exploration into the effects of childhood sexual assault on a teenage boy
into his adulthood, experiences with Borderline Personality Disorder that draw from my own lived experiences as well as research, the darker side of
depressive disorders, battles with internalized homophobia, etc. Any specific triggers will be listed at the top of every take on YohJay across the
multiverse again just to ensure all bases are covered, but if these topics feel far too heavy for you, please prioritize your mental health and click off. There will
be no harm done, and your mental health matters.
I have not only my own personal experiences with some of these topics to draw from, but also have done countless interviews with those willing to lend me their
voice, so I do my utmost best to ensure my portrayals of these topics are done with respect to the severity of any and all these topics. However, I am only
human, and I perhaps have made some mistakes. I ask that you keep this in mind, and I am always open to improve.
